The Flåm Valley

The Flåm Valley Perfect for cycling and walking. Ride to the top and walk back at your own pace. The hike is 20 km long and usually takes 4-5 hours on foot all the way back to Flåm. By bike it takes about 2 hours. Feel free to visit the café in Kårdal along the way.

We recommend walking the upper part of the valley, from Myrdal or Vatnahalsen to Kårdal. There you can rent a bike for the rest of the trip back to Flåm, where the road is not as steep. Train tickets and bike rentals can be purchased as a package from Norways Best.
